Red Raiders T-13th after 36 holes of Chevron Collegiate

HUMBLE, Texas – The Texas Tech women's golf team sits in a tie for 13th place at the Chevron Collegiate, as the first 36 holes were completed on Monday at the Golf Club of Houston. Sophomore Klara Hurtova led the Red Raiders as their low scorer after the first two rounds with an even par 144.
Hurtova is tied for 37th place in the 90-player field made up of 16 teams. The sophomore was consistent in her play, carding even par 72 in both round one and round two. Hurtova dropped as low as 2-under-par in each of her two rounds, totaling two pars and two bogeys in round one and four birdies and four bogeys in round two.
Libby Fleming tied for the second-most birdies in the Chevron Collegiate field with 11 over 36 holes. She finished 2-over (146)Â after Monday's two rounds, shooting 1-under (71) in the first round and 3-over in the second round. Fleming found great success on the front nine at the Golf Club of Houston, shooting a 4-under 32 in round one and a 3-under 33 in round two.Â
Kylee Loewe had a strong start alike Fleming, firing a 1-under-par 71 in round one, followed by a 3-over 75, also alike Fleming. Fleming and Loewe are tied for 49th place.
The Red Raiders continue the Chevron Collegiate at 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning with the final round.Â
