Cade McGee Earns FSL Player of the Week

The former Red Raider homered twice in three games, including a walk-off blast Sunday
LUBBOCK, Texas – After batting .366 with a pair of home runs and three RBIs, former Texas Tech Baseball standout Cade McGee has been named the first 2025 Florida State League Player of the Week.
Helping lead his Palm Beach Cardinals squad to a series victory over the Fort Meyers Mighty Mussels, McGee went 2-for-4 with a run scored in the Cards 8-2 victory on opening day.
On Saturday night, McGee turned in another strong performance going 1-for-2 with a home run and a pair of walks.
Looking to help Palm Beach to the series victory, McGee delivered the biggest swing of the weekend when he lofted a walk-off off two-run home run to give his squad an 11-10 win that clinched the weekend series.
For the week, McGee slashed .366/.462/1.000 turning an OPS of nearly 1.500.
