Kick times announced for Texas Tech non-conference slate

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech learned its first three kick times for the 2025 football season on Thursday as the Big 12 Conference announced the television selections for its non-conference home matchups with Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Kent State and Oregon State.
ESPN+ will carry Texas Tech's season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Aug. 30 with kickoff slated for 6:30 p.m. CT inside Jones AT&T Stadium. ESPN+ is the home to hundreds of Texas Tech live events annually as part of the Big 12's expanded media rights agreement with the network, which includes coverage of men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball and most Olympic sports.
The Red Raiders will have an 11 a.m. CT kick the following week against Kent State with television coverage provided by TNT and Max. The 2025 season marks the beginning of the Big 12's new media package that continues its partnerships with ESPN and FOX while adding TNT Sports to its football portfolio. TNT Sports will now televise an exclusive slate of Big 12 football games this fall following an agreement between Warner Bros. Discovery and ESPN last November.
FOX will air Texas Tech's non-conference finale on Sept. 13 with a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff inside Jones AT&T Stadium. The remainder of Texas Tech's 2025 schedule will be released throughout the season on either a 12 or six-day basis following selections by the conference's television partners in ESPN and FOX.
The Red Raiders will wait to go on the road for its first game away from home following their non-conference slate, traveling to Utah for the first time on Sept. 20 followed by an open date and a trip to Houston on Oct. 4. Texas Tech will host Kansas on Oct. 11 in its Big 12 home opener, one of four conference home dates on the schedule as Oklahoma State (Oct. 25), BYU (Nov. 8) and UCF (Nov. 15) will all make visits to Jones AT&T Stadium in 2025.
