July 14, 2025 | Men's Golf
LUBBOCK, Texas — Texas Tech men's golf head coach Greg Sands revealed the program's 2025-26 schedule on Monday, which will be led by a trip to Pebble Beach Calif. for the Carmel Cup, Aug. 29-31, for the first of four fall events on a season schedule that consists of 10 tournaments before the conference championship and beyond.
The Red Raiders, who finished their 2024-25 campaign at the NCAA Championships for the fifth straight year, will start their postseason at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan., for the 2026 edition of the Big 12 Championship, April 27-29. The conference tournament was last held at Prairie Dunes in 2023, a season Texas Tech finished third overall, with Ludvig Aberg leading the way with his second consecutive individual win at the Big 12 tournament.
Per usual, the NCAA Regionals will be held at six different sites, in 2026, the sites include Athens, Ga. (University of Georgia Golf Course), Bermuda Run, N.C. (Bermuda Run Country Club), Bryan, Texas (Traditions Club), Columbus, Ohio (OSU Golf Club), Corvallis, Ore. (Trysting Tree Golf Club) and Marana, Ariz. (The Gallery Golf Club). All six sites will host postseason competition from May 18-20, which will qualify 30 teams for the NCAA Championships at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., for the third year in a row. The NCAA Division I Men's Golf Committee will select teams and individuals to participate in the regional rounds of the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships on May 6 — the Red Raiders have heard their name called 23 consecutive years on selection day.
Before the championship season begins, Texas Tech will travel to prominent golf destinations in the states of California, Florida, and Hawai'i and have the opportunity to test its game against top-tier competition. All four destinations in the fall include stops that have hosted PGA events and U.S. Amateur Championships before the spring kicks off with a trip to Mauna Lani Golf Course on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawai'i.
Texas Tech will seek to make a third-straight trip to Carlsbad, and a sixth-straight trip to the NCAA Championships overall, May 29-June 3. The Red Raiders finished 10th at the 2025 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships, their fourth Top 10 finish under Sands and sixth in program history.Â
