The men’s team took first scoring 44 points
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech cross country team wrapped up the Texas Tech open as the men's team took home the first place finish while the women took second place overall Friday morning at the LCU Cross Country Course.

The men's team scored a total of 44 points and was led by a 1-2 finish by Titus Kimaru and Ernest Cheruiyot. Kimaru crossed the line at 22:51 with Cheruiyot not far behind crossing at 23:14. Victor Kipkoech finished fourth overall with a time of 24:13, Isaac Hernandez finished 12th (25:20), and Daniel Mendez finished 25th (26:30).
Scoring a total of 50 points on the women's side, Lily Mather finishing fourth, crossing the line at 21:18. Pauline Wanjiku was right behind her finishing sixth (21:26), Hannah Spears finished eighth (21:39), Jenna Carter finished 14th (22:11), Lila Crowley 19th (23:04), and Alexia Escalera Mack closed out the Red Raiders, finishing 25th (23:39).
