Red Raiders in the NFL | Regular Season Week 3, Sept. 18-22
LUBBOCK, Texas – The 2025 NFL season is in full swing now with Red Raiders making impacts for various franchises. Dadrion Taylor-Demeson did his best to put the Cardinals in position for a win versus the 49ers on Sunday by intercepting his first career pass in a 13-13 tie game in fourth quarter, meanwhile rookie running back Tahj Brooks earned his first carries for the Bengals in week three.Â

ARIZONA CARDINALSÂ at San Francisco 49ers (L, 16-15)
S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (2019-23): Taylor-Demerson recorded his first career NFL interception in the fourth quarter during a 13-13 tie game that ultimately went the 49ers' way. Taylor-Demerson finished with the game's only pick and added four solo tackles and one pass breakup.
DL Broderick Washington Jr. (2016-19): Washington Jr. made his first start of the season against the Lions on Monday Night Football. He registered four tackles on the interior line, as he played 62 percent of the snaps.
RB Tahj Brooks (2020-24):Â Brooks, who has only seen action on special teams the first two weeks of the season, recorded his first touches on offense Sunday. He carried the ball five times for 17 yards with a long rush of seven. On special teams, he registered two tackles, one on kickoff and punt coverage, respectively.
OL Terence Steele (2016-19):Â Â Steele once again played each snap on offense, helping push the rushing attack over 100 yards (121) for a third-straight game.
QB Patrick Mahomes II (2014-16): Mahomes and the Chiefs avoided a 0-3 start with a primetime Sunday Night Football win over the Giants. With the offense only being able to muster up three field goals in the first half, Mahomes found the end zone on the opening drive of the third quarter, connecting on a five-yard strike to Tyquan Thornton. In the Chiefs' first win of the season, Mahomes finished the game with 224 passing yards.
DE Tyree Wilson (2020-22): Wilson recorded his first start of the season, finishing the game with two tackles as he played 38 percent of the defensive snaps.Â
LB Jordyn Brooks (2016-19): Brooks registered four tackles as the Dolphins kicked off week three on Thursday night. Brooks ranks 16th in the NFL when it comes to total tackles.
P Austin McNamara (2020-23):Â After booting a season-high seven punts last week, McNamara toned it down a bit this week with only two punts that averaged a net of 49.0 with a long of 51.
DB Tyler Owens (2022-23): Owens played 68 percent of the special teams snaps, adding one tackle on kickoff coverage.Â
