Both the men and women teams start week one ranked inside the top 6
NEW ORLEANS– The Texas Tech men's and women's indoor track and field teams will start the season ranked inside the top-10 according to the USTFCCCA Track & Field Rating Index rankings released Tuesday afternoon. The men are ranked No. 4, while the women were slated No. 6.
With two meets now in the books, Tech boasts several top marks and times in the country. When it comes to the men's side, Antoine Andrews (7.51) and Malachi Snow (7.57) are No. 1 and No. 3 in the 60m hurdles. Another notable mark is Jonathan Seremes in the triple jump. He leads the nation bounding 16.79m (55-1).
Over on the women's side, Temitope Adeshina (1.93m/6-4) and Evelyn Lavielle (1.90m/6-2 ¾) are No. 1 and No. 4 in the NCAA. Grace Oshiokpu leads three Red Raiders inside the top-14 of the triple jump with a mark of 13.27m (43-6 ½) at No. 5. Tonie-Ann Forbes boasts a 60m hurdles time of 8.11, which is good for No. 6 in the country.
