She becomes the third female in conference history to win three-straight indoor titles
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech indoor track and field team wrapped up day one of the 2026 Big 12 Indoor Championships Saturday evening inside the Sports Performance Center.

Temitope Adeshina won her third-straight indoor high jump title clearing 1.96m (6-5), tying her No. 2 mark in school history. She becomes the female athlete in Big 12 history to win three-straight and first since Kansas' Rylee Anderson (2021-23). The mark also sets a new meet record, breaking Akela Jones' (2016, Kansas State) and Destinee Hooker's (2009, Texas) mark of 1.93m (6-4).
Following a protest, Tamiah Washington moved from second to fourth in the long jump with a mark of 6.34m (20-9.75) (PB). Her fifth attempt of 6.55m (21-6) was deemed to be a foul.
Kashlee Dickinson scored the first points day one for Tech as she placed fourth in the pole vault clearing 4.30m (14-1 ¼).
When it came to the sprints and hurdles, the Red Raiders secured 22 lanes for Saturday's final. The most in one event was the men's 60m sprint where all four Red Raiders entered secured a spot. Kyzer Dunbar (1:08.19, 600yd) and Malachi Snow (7.53, 60m hurdles) claimed the fastest times overall in their respective events Friday night.
Notables
·      The men's high jump saw BJ Jennings place 6th as he cleared 2.08m (6-9 ¾).
·      Olga Szlachta scored 8th in the long jump with a mark of 6.26m (20-6 ½).
·      Men's pole vault saw points from Sam Hurley (4th, 5.35m (17-6 ½) and Jackson Bragg (7th, 5.35m (17-6 ½).
·      The men's DMR team of Fikadu Gonzalez, Johnathan Crawford, Markus Brodin and Titus Kimaru scored 7th (9:51.06).
·      Claire Lowrey scored 4th in the high jump with a PB 1.84m (6-0 ½) as Evelyn Lavielle finished 7th at 1.81m (5-1 ¼).
