Logvin named Big 12 Player of the Week

LUBBOCK, Texas – Freshman Kseniia Logvin went 4-0 against the Oregon Ducks and the Sam Houston Bearkats to earn her first career Big 12 Player of the Week award announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
Logvin had an undefeated week, going 4-0 to defeat both Oregon and Sam Houston on Sunday in a doubleheader. Against the Ducks, Logvin paired with Mariia Hlahola in doubles at court two, where the pair helped the Lady Raiders to a much needed doubles point when they defeated Hinata Furutani and Julieti Santitto, 6-2. In singles, the Russia native clinched the 4-3 win over the Ducks when she overtook Patsy Daughters at court four in a come-from-behind win, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
Against the Bearkats, Logvin and Yekaterina Dmitrichenko paired up at the top court to beat the duo of Anamaria Kurtsikashvili and Aaliyah Hohmann, 6-1, to clinch the doubles point. Logvin played up at court two in singles, earning her first win at the lineup spot when she took down Kurtsikashvili in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, and helped the Lady Raiders to a 7-0 sweep over the Kats.
Logvin currently leads the team in overall singles wins with 16 and ties for the team lead in dual singles wins with five. On the doubles side, she ties for third with 11 overall wins and is tied for second in dual doubles wins with a perfect 4-0 record.
