Texas Tech capped off a 13-2 finish to the regular season with a series victory over TCU on the final week of the season. The 8-4 win in the regular-season finale crowned the Red Raiders as Big 12 Champions for the third time in four years, finishing with a 16-8 conference record on its way to a No. 8 national seed in the NCAA Tournament and yet another berth in the 2019 College World Series.

The 2017 Red Raiders defended their Big 12 title with a 16-8 conference mark, capped off by a three-game sweep at home against Kansas. Tech won six of its eight conference sets with a pair of sweeps en route to the title.Â

Texas Tech won its first Big 12 title under Tim Tadlock in 2016 with a dominating 19-5 conference record. The Red Raiders had already secured the outright title entering the final week of the regular season and went on to earn a No. 5 national seed before making its second trip to Omaha in program history.Â

1998

Texas Tech took home the Big 12 Tournament Championship in 1998 with only seven pitchers on staff in Oklahoma City, Okla. The Red Raiders entered the event as the No. 3 seed and won four of five games, including a 14-7 championship win against Texas A&M to claim the title.

The 1997 Red Raiders were regarded as one of the top teams in the country, climbing to No. 1 in the polls for several weeks before winning the Big 12 title in its first year of existence. It marked the third conference title for the Red Raiders between 1995-97 as Tech finished with a 23-7 Big 12 mark to earn its second consecutive NCAA Regional host bid.
