COVID-19: Updated Safety Measures at Jones AT&T Stadium
Texas Tech University and Texas Tech Athletics are committed to providing a safe environment for all students, fans, staff and community members. Here are some of the steps Texas Tech is taking to help keep Jones AT&T Stadium safe for the 2020 season.
Social Distancing
Tailgating is limited to the following:

Hand sanitizing dispensers are located in the men’s and women’s restrooms and at heat management stations.
Concession Stands
Social Distancing
- We ask that you please maintain social distancing when entering and within the stadium.
- Please follow ground signage when waiting in lines at the gates, restrooms and concessions stands.
- We ask that you enter the gate indicated on your ticket and follow the signage to your ticketed seat.
- Both Texas Tech University and the city of Lubbock have ordinances in place that require face coverings to be worn in public places to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
- All fans and staff ages 10 and above will be required to wear a face covering that covers the nose and mouth completely. Face coverings are not a substitute for social distancing and fans are asked to keep a safe distance between their party and other fans while inside and outside of Jones AT&T Stadium.
- For the 2020 season, Texas Tech will be using all mobile ticketing.
- Prior to each home game, ticket holders will download their mobile tickets to their Apple Wallet or Google Pay account, which will then be scanned by a gate attendant upon entry into Jones AT&T Stadium.

Tailgating is limited to the following:
- All Texas Tech sponsored tailgating events have been canceled for the 2020 season, including Raider Alley and all corporate tailgates.
- Lots will open three hours prior to kick-off. No tailgating activity may take place prior to this time.
- All personal tailgating should be limited to no more than 10 people, in accordance with the state order for outdoor gatherings.
- No tents larger than 10’ by 10’ will be permitted. Please ensure a minimum of 10 feet between all tents and tailgate groups.
- RV lots will open Friday evenings at 5:30 pm and will be required to follow the same standard of no more than 10 people.
- Lots will be cleared one hour after the conclusion of the game.
- Texas Tech will continue to provide printed parking passes for season ticket holders to access each respective lot on game day during the 2020 football season.
- Parking lots will open 3 hours prior to kickoff.
Guests will be allowed to carry in the following bags:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12.”
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the venue with one of the clear plastic bags. *An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.

Concession Stands
- Social distancing will be enforced at concession stands inside Jones AT&T Stadium.
- A mobile ordering option will also be available via texastech.ordernext.com with eight designated mobile order pickup locations. (four on the west side concourse and four on the east side concourse)
- Plexiglas has been added to concession stands and to portable points of sale.
