DAY THREE BLOG (F Lana Wenger | 6-4 | Sophomore | Hersberg, Switzerland )Â
Hey Lady Raider Nation!Â
Â
Lana Wenger checking in here. Today was another great day! We woke up around 9 this morning and went to breakfast here at the hotel. Then I left with Zuri [Sanders] to go shopping her in Athens which was really fun. We explored all of the stores around downtown Athens and our hotel. We took a little coffee break midway through our shopping and had the best watermelon ice cream I’ve ever had. And then we headed back for pregame meal and to get ready for our second game. The game went really well. It was fun to play and whenever you beat a team by as much as we did tonight the energy and vibes on the bench are always good. Experiencing that winning feeling was really fun. Tomorrow I’m looking forward to our boat trip and getting the chance to get into the water.Â

Good night from Athens and #WreckEm,Â

DAY TWO BLOG (G Saga Ukkonen | 5-9 | Sophomore | Helsinki, Finland )Â
Hey Lady Raider Nation!Â
Today was a really great day. It was great to go see the Acropolis and it was very interesting to hear about all the stories and history. It was hot but windy which helped keep us cool. We had a good time out there. We also had our first game which was really great. The energy was great and we won which felt good. It always feels good to win, but especially when it's the first game of a season. This trip is setting tone for this team very early on. We're having hard productive practices and every one is showing up each day and creating our expectations for the season. I think this is an amazing opportunity for our team. We got a few extra practices here in the summer because of this trip which is an advantage that nobody else has gotten. I think we're really becoming one team. Tomorrow I am going to be spending some time with my family. They flew here from Finland which is really special. Before our pregame meal and game stuff, I'm going to be spending time with my family. We're going to go around around the city and probably take some pictures. I don't want to spend the free morning in the hotel room. I only get to see my family once a year usually in the summer so this was absolutely amazing. My dad has not seen me play yet at Texas Tech or see the team or the staff yet. My mom and brother came last Christmas, but it's really special for me to have him here as well.

DAY TWO BLOG (G Jasmine Shavers | 5-8 | Redshirt Freshman | Mesquite, Texas )Â
Hey Lady Raider Nation!Â
It was an extremely fun day for sure. It was the first time for me back on the court in a game in nearly two years. It was great to be out there with my sisters. It was really fun. It topped off a great day. This morning we toured the Acropolis and got a chance to explore the city a bit more. The Acropolis is a very historic place and every aspect of it really stood out. It was really fun. This whole trip is a blessing and a once in a lifetime experience. I've never been given the opportunity to travel to a place like Greece and stay in a five-star hotel. And do the things we're doing every day. We started the trip off being close, but this trip is just bring us closer. I feel like we're going to be closer than ever when the real season comes around.Â

DAY ONE BLOGÂ (F Kilah Freelon | 6-1 | Freshman | Denver, Colo.)Â
Freshman Kilah Freelon checking in from Athens! Sunday was definitely a long day of travel but I like how we were able to talk to each other and bond. We made little TikToks and things like that to pass the time. We also went to lunch which was very entertaining. I downloaded a bunch of tv shows and movies off of Netflix and even got a little bit of sleep. Once we landed in Athens after the LONG flight we went to two different restaurants for lunch and dinner. At both places we tried some new Greek food that I've never really tried before. I like trying new things especially in new places. Another highlight for me was getting to go on the bike tour around Athens. I thought we were all going to be tired after the long day and night of travel, but it was definitely a lot of fun to see so much of Athens. It was a good day and Athens is pretty great! My team and I are looking forward to touring the Acropolis tomorrow and playing our first game against Ano Liosia Select tomorrow night.Â
