Quintin Jordan returned to his alma mater in 2022 as the Director of Football Operations as part of Joey McGuire’s charter staff at Texas Tech.
In his role, Jordan is instrumental in many of the behind-the-scenes aspects of the football program, assisting with the planning and execution of team travel, while serving as the primary contact for the initial eligibility process of incoming student-athletes, which includes Texas Tech’s admissions, progress towards degree, financial aid and NCAA certification offices. Jordan also coordinates Texas Tech’s annual senior and junior retreats each summer as well as numerous team events throughout the calendar year.
Jordan has added additional responsibility beginning with the 2025 season as he help oversee Texas Tech’s revenue-share budget, forming a team with Associate A.D. for football administration Antonio Huffman and general manger James Blanchard to keep the Red Raiders at the forefront of the changes in college football.
Jordan reunited with McGuire not long after his hiring at Texas Tech as the previously were on the same staff at Baylor over a four-year span. Jordan served as the Director of Football Operations over his final three years at Baylor where the Bears enjoyed two 11-win seasons and won the Big 12 title during his final season on staff in 2022. Baylor also played in the Big 12 Championship game in 2019.
Jordan began his tenure with the Bears as the associate director of student-athlete development in July 2018 being moving directly on the football staff under head coach Matt Rhule. Jordan was not only retained but promoted when Baylor head coach Dave Aranda was hired in 2020, placing him in charge of many of the logistical aspects of the program as Director of Football Operations.
In his role with the student-athlete development office, Jordan was responsible for managing the leadership development program as well as the First Year Course, Personal Skills programming and the Student-Athlete Advisor Committee (SAAC).
Prior to Baylor, Jordan spent five years as the associate director of sport services at Conference USA, serving as the primary administrator for cross country, track and field and men’s tennis. Jordan was on the championships team, helping oversee logistics for Conference USA’s football and basketball championships and was the league’s liaison annually for Battle for Atlantis, one of the top college basketball events each season hosted in the Bahamas.
Jordan also played a significant role in student-athlete development, representing the league as a facilitator for the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum and the Emerging Leaders Seminar selections committee. In addition to his work promoting the league’s student-athletes, Jordan was responsible for managing the conference’s video exchange program.
Jordan began his professional career at the NCAA national office in Indianapolis where he experienced firsthand the legislation process. The position provided Jordan ample experience by answering NCAA legislative calls, conducting amateurism certifications and by working with the NCAA Eligibility Center’s high school review department and the National Letter of Intent program.
Over his career, Jordan has been selected to work numerous conference and national championship events, including three College Football Playoff National Championships and five combined NCAA men’s or women’s Final Fours. He was also selected to participate in the NCAA Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute in 2019, which provides tailored programming to assist ethnic minorities in strategically mapping and planning their careers in athletics administration.
Jordan, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, graduated from Texas Tech in 2010 with his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Rawls College of Business. He received his master’s of science in sports management in 2012.
He and his wife, BrenShavia, are parents to three children – Josiah, Aaliyah and Quintin Jr.
