Coleman Sparling is in his third season with the Texas Tech basketball program where he serves as a Coaching Assistant.
Sparling arrived in Lubbock after working at Wyoming where he was the Assistant Director of Player Development under Jeff Linder. An Ellensburg, Washington native, Sparling played college basketball at Central Washington, College of Southern Idaho, UT Arlington and Alaska. As a senior at Alaska, Sparling averaged 10.0 points and 8.3 rebounds and helped to lead his team to the NCAA Division II Sweet 16.
Sparling earned his bachelor's degree from UT Arlington and has helped the Red Raiders advance to the NCAA Tournament in both seasons working with the coaching staff and players. In his first season, Sparling and the Red Raiders advanced to the 2025 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight.
