Prior to Tech, Keller coached the 2016-2017 year at Volcano Vista High School in Albqueruque, NM. While at Volcano he helped coach Jericho Cleveland to the NMAA 6A State 1,600m and 3,200m titles as well as a 10th place USATF Junior Cross Country Championships finish. In total, Keller coached 6 runners to 11 different events at the New Mexico State meet, bringing back 2 state individual titles, and 6 all state performances. As a team the boys finished as NMAA 6A State Runner-Up in Track and Field.

Keller graduated from the University of Indianapolis with his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2016. While at UIndy, Keller was a NCAA DII National Championship qualifier in the 3,000m steeplechase and an all GLVC selection in cross country. Keller holds the school record in the 3,000m steeplechase. He also received the William A. Bright Most Valuable Runner in cross country his junior year and was voted team captain junior and senior years.
