Rob Bucher joins the Lady Raider Basketball staff as video coordinator leading into the 2018-19 season.

Bucher's responsibilities with the Lady Raiders include oversight of video exchange and the breakdown of opponent and individual video scouting, among other duties.

Bucher comes to Lubbock from Florida State, where he was a graduate assistant for the men's basketball team for the last two season. He oversaw the other graduate assistants and managers while assisting in on-campus recruiting visits and coordinated the Leonard Hamilton Basketball Camp last summer. He also assisted with all video technologies and helped develop marking and recruiting graphics for the program.

While at Florida State, Bucher was a part of the men's basketball team that went to the 2018 Elite Eight and NCAA Second Round in 2017.

Before arriving in Tallahassee, Fla., Bucher was the Boys Varsity assistant coach at South Dearborn High School in Aurora, Ind.

After graduating from Cincinnati, Bucher served as head coach at two junior high schools and an AAU team in the midwest.

Bucher received a master's degree in education from Florida State in May 2018, and a bachelor's degree in communications and a minor in Business Administration from Cincinnati in 2014.
