Prior to UConn, Gordon was a four-year letterwinner for L.D. Bell High School in Hurst, Texas. She averaged 24.7 points and 9.5 rebounds per game during her senior season and is the all-time scorer with more than 2,000 points. Coming out of high school, Gordon was a 5-star recruit and the 29th-ranked player in the country.
The newcomer was a candidate for the 2015 Under-16 United States national team and the 2016 Under-17 United States national team. Gordon's parents both played basketball at TCU.
