Earned four wins in singles during her first full season as a Lady Raider, including three dual wins … At the Dallas Mock Duals, defeated Manami Ukita, 7-6(6), 6-4 … Started at the No. 5 spot against New Mexico and defeated My Kagayama, 6-4, 6-1, to help Tech to a win over the Lobos … Defeated Iowa State’s Chie Kezuka, 6-3, 6-3, at the No. 5 spot … Helped the Lady Raiders to a win over West Virginia, defeating Anne-Sophie Courteau, 6-3, 6-4 on court five … In doubles, teamed up with Metka Komac for a 6-4 win over Utah’s Anya Lamoreaux and Madeline Lamoreaux.

Finished her freshman collegiate campaign with six singles wins that included five dual wins in eight appearances for the Lady Raiders after arriving to Lubbock in the spring 2020 semester … Finished 4-7 in doubles and 3-5 in dual doubles matches … Picked up her first collegiate win at the Orlando Invitational where she defeated Madeline Meredith of Auburn in three sets … In doubles, her first career victory came against Auburn’s Carolyn Ansari and Taylor Russo in a 6-2 win with partner Olivia Peet … Helped the Lady Raiders to a win over Mississippi State, defeating Alexandra Mikhailuk, 6-3, 6-0, in the No. 4 spot … Was key to the Lady Raiders’ win over No. 26 Arizona State, winning Lauryn-John Baptiste in the No. 5 singles spot, 6-1, 5-7, 6-1, and teaming up with Reagan Collins at No. 3 doubles to defeat John-Baptiste and Sasa Klanecek, 6-4.

She also owns a career high WTA pro singles ranking of 775 in the world ... Marinkov has played in the main draws of a number of international pro tennis tournaments over the last year, including the Nonthaburi $25k in Thailand, as well as the Canberra $25k and the Perth $15k in Australia ... She also advanced to the main draw semifinals of the Port Pirie $15k in February.
