Brock Duckworth

Brock Duckworth enters his first season at Texas Tech as an assistant coach in 2026 after being hired in April. As part of his duties, Duckworth will also be responsible for working with Texas Tech’s goalkeeper unit. A native of Texas, Duckworth arrives in Lubbock following a successful three stint with USF where he helped the Bulls go 31-16 and win the 2023 American Athletic Conference Regular Season title.
In his time at USF, Duckworth worked with the Bulls goalkeepers that included 2024 AAC Goalkeeper of the Year Leire Herraez Galalch who went a combined 19-6-7 in 2024 and 2025 combined. During her standout 2024 season, Herraez Gallach allowed just seven goals in 19 matches. During her three seasons working with Duckworth, Herraez Gallach recorded 19 clean sheets in 49 matches and had a GAA of 0.73 and a save percentage of .826.
Prior to arriving at USF, Duckworth worked at UTSA where he helped the Roadrunners win the 2022 CUSA title and record the best single-season win percentage (.636) in program history.
Duckworth came to San Antonio after spending the 2018 and 2019 seasons at FGCU where he helped the Eagles win the 2019 ASUN Regular Season Championship and go 24-8-4 in his two seasons in Ft Meyers.
During his time with the Eagles, he helped goalie Melissa Weck become a Second Team All A-Sun selection as Weck was named the league's Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year. During her two seasons under the tutelage Duckworth, Weck recorded nine total shutouts and recorded back-to-back seasons of 60+ saves and a save percentage of at least .800.
Duckworth also has served as an assistant coach at East Carolina (2017), FIU (2016) and Winthrop (2013-14) in addition to serving as Arkansas' Director of Scouting and Technology during the 2015 season.
A native of Parker, Texas, Duckworth was a four-year standout in goal for UNCW where he was a two-time all-league selection and finished first in UNCW history in all-time goals-against-average and is second all-time in clean sheets with 2024.
Duckworth earned his degree in Communication Studies from UNCW in 2011 and played professionally for the Charleston Battery, the Charlotte Eagles and the Wilmington Hammerheads.
Throughout his decade-long coaching career Duckworth has coached 49 All-Conference selections, four Conference Players of the Year and four Defensive Players of the Year.
Duckworth and his wife Heather have a daughter Harper and a son Everett.
