In March of 2023, Brown-Campbell was promoted to an Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director and appointed the interim Senior Woman Administrator in March of 2023, before moving into the SWA role permanently in June. Brown-Campbell is in charge of all of Texas Tech's Title IX oversight as well as academic services, the J.T. and Margaret Talkington student-athlete development office and all Red Raider Way programming. She will also be the athletics diversity and inclusion designee to the NCAA.
Brown-Campbell arrived at Texas Tech following 10-plus years at Big 12 counterpart Baylor, where she most recently served as Associate Athletics Director for Academic Services. She joined the Baylor staff from her alma mater, Arkansas, where she worked in academic support from 2004-10, which included a stretch as the Assistant Athletics Director for women's academic support prior to the combination of the men's and women's athletics departments into one unit in 2008.
Brown-Campbell was a standout track and field athlete for the Razorbacks, garnering All-America honors in the outdoor heptathlon twice during her career (2000, 2002) while claiming three SEC individual titles. Her efforts on the track earned her an induction in the Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor in 2015 as well as the state of Arkansas Track and Field Hall of Fame that same year. In addition, Brown-Campbell’s son, Chase Campbell, is a freshman wide receiver on the Texas Tech football team.
