Rayford Young Issues Apology

Apology from senior guard Rayford Young concerning his action following Texas Tech?s win at the University of Texas-El Paso:

?I would like to apologize to the University of Texas-El Paso, its team and its fans. I also would like to apologize to the Red Raider fans and supporters. My action Saturday evening was wrong and it will not happen again.?

Comment from Texas Tech head coach James Dickey:

?Rayford is a quality young man and acted on the emotion of the moment. We both feel badly that this incident occurred and I apologize to UTEP, Coach (Jason) Rabedeaux and his team, and the UTEP fans.?

Dickey met individually with Young and collectively with the team and has reiterated that this type of behavior is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
