Women?s Golf Wraps Up Fall Season at Roadrunner Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech?s women?s golf team fired a 298 in the final round of the Roadrunner Invitational in Las Cruces, N.M., to finish tied with Oklahoma in fifth place. The Red Raiders were in fifth place following the second round after claiming the third-place slot in round one.
Senior Jamie Vannoy shot a 71 in the final round to finish 18th and lead the Red Raiders. Junior Priscillia Hunt, the tournament?s leader after the first round, finish tied at 23rd, while Jennifer Newhouse finished tied in 28th place. Heather Wrede and Melanie Hunt each finished in at tie at 42nd place.
Oklahoma State won the event by one stroke over runner-up and host New Mexico State. New Mexico finished third, while Washington followed in fourth.
Texas Tech wrapped up its fall season and will next compete at the 2000 GTE ?Mo?morial in Houston March 6-7.
