LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech junior mens basketball player Ross Carmichael has decided to transfer to another school at mid-semester, head coach James Dickey announced today.
Carmichael, a 6-10 center from Dallas, Texas, played in 27 games and started 12 as a sophomore and averaged 3.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. He did not play in Texas Techs 87-78 season-opening win over Texas-San Antonio Thursday night.
"We appreciate the hard work and the effort that Ross has given our program and our university," said Dickey. "We certainly wish him well in whatever he decides to do."
