SAN ANTONIO - The Texas Tech men's golf team concluded the first round of play Monday in the UT-San Antonio Invitational at the La Cantera Golf Club.
The Red Raiders rounded out the field in 18th place. Nebraska leads the team competition, firing a 282 team total to be the only squad under par at the event. Huskers Jamie Rogers and Josh Madden share the No. 1 slot after one round, both shooting a four under 68. Leading the Texas Tech hunt is junior Sean Mulherin with a round of 79 to sit tied for 52nd. Freshman Gant Bills takes the team's second scoring spot after the first day, ending at 80 and tied for 60th among the 90 individuals.
The Red Raiders continue action Tuesday in the 36 hole event. The 18-team field will tee off at 7:30 a.m. on the par 72, 7001-yard layout.
