Men's tennis falls to Texas 6-1

AUSTIN, Texas - Borut Martincevic defeated #59 Paul Martin in the No.1 singles match, but the rest of the Texas Tech team could not follow suit and the Red Raiders fell to the No. 6 Texas Longhorns 6-1 in a dual match held at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center on Saturday.
Martincevic downed Martin in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 for Texas Tech's only win of the day. Jevgenij Cariov won the second set of his match with #20 Jack Brasington, before losing to Brasington 6-2, 4-6, 6-1. Adam Baranowski also went three sets in his match with Gwenael Gueit, but lost 6-1, 3-6, 6-3.
Peter Danolic defaulted in his match with Nick Crowell after losing in the first set 5-7, and Danolic and Martincevic were forced to default from their doubles match with Michael Blue and Brasington.
