Tech Tennis Teams in Action at Home

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's and women's tennis teams will face Big 12 Conference opponents at home this weekend in the Athletic Training Center. Friday, the women will play Oklahoma at 1 p.m. and Saturday, the men play Colorado at 1:30 p.m. The men,s match may be moved outdoors, pending the weather.
The women's Abilene Christian game scheduled for Thursday was canceled.
The Red Raider women enter Friday's contest with a 3-1 record on the season. The team tallied their first Big 12 Conference victory last weekend, dropping Oklahoma State 6-3. Freshman Zana Zlebnik remained undefeated, moving to 4-0 in singles action this spring. On Friday, she earned a win over Baylor's Barbara Navarro who is currently in the national rankings.
Saturday, the Tech men will challenge the second Big 12 opponent of the spring, carrying a 4-3 overall record. After falling to Texas A&M on Sunday, the team will look to record its first conference victory.
The women will continue conference play on Sunday at Nebraska with a 10 a.m. match in Lincoln, Neb.
