Texas Tech men's tennis dominates Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. - The Texas Tech men's tennis team captured a 6-1 victory over Nebraska Wednesday morning at the Cather-Pound Tennis Complex in Lincoln, Neb. With the win, the Red Raiders improve to 10-13 overall and 2-7 in the Big 12 Conference.
The victory gave Tech the No. 8 seed in the Big 12 Tournament beginning Thursday in Lincoln. Tech will have a rematch against Nebraska in the first round of play at 1:30 p.m. at the Cather-Pound Tennis Complex. The Huskers enter as the No. 9 seed with a 1-8 conference record.
Five of six singles matches were claimed by the Red Raiders, along with two doubles wins. Petar Danolic took the No. 1 singles slot, dropping Nebraska's Dinko Verzi 6-4, 6-0. Tylir Jimenez took No. 2 singles, Adam Baranowski claimed the No. 4 singles, and Wojtek Stasiak and Carey Biorkman each earned wins in the No. 5, and No. 6 slots respectively. Doubles wins went to the pairs of Jimenez-Doug Lacy and Biorkman-Danolic.
