Brooke Lowrance Named Second Team All-Big 12

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech senior golfer Brooke Lowrance was named to the Big 12 All-Conference second team following a vote by the leagues head coaches the conference announced Tuesday.
Lowrance who made first team All-Big 12 as a junior, led the Red Raiders this season with a 77.2 stroke average which ties her for 11th in the conference. This season she has been Tech's top finisher in four events, including taking medalist honors in the Jeannine McHaney Memorial. The Snyder, Texas native also owns three Top 20 finishes this year and two Top 10's.
The Red Raiders are currently in second place at the Big 12 Women's Golf Tournament, trailing leader Oklahoma State by five strokes going into today's second round. Lowrance trails Oklahoma State's Maria Boden by one stroke for the lead.
On the year Tech owns six Top 10 finishes in nine events and has placed in the Top 20 eight times. Currently, the Red Raiders are ranked 44th-nationally. Texas Tech's top finish was second in the 24-team Utah-Dixie Classic.
