STANFORD, Calif. - The Texas Tech University women's golf team is tied for 12th after two rounds of the Stanford Women's Intercollegiate.
The Red Raiders are 37-over-par 621 and tied for 12th with California after two days on the par-73, 6,093-yard Stanford Golf Course. Host Stanford (593) has a five-shot lead entering Sunday's final round. Arizona is second (598), Indiana (601) third, Washington (603) fifth and Southern California (608) sixth. Texas A&M (619) is 11th.
Two Tech golfers - junior Jamie Vannoy and senior Brooke Lowrance - are among the top 15. Vannoy, at 1-over 147, is tied for sixth, six shots off the leader Elisha Au of Washington, who is 5-under-par 141 after two rounds. Lowrance, who shot 1-under 72 Saturday, is at 3-over 149 and alone in 14th place.
Senior Beth Covington (165) is tied for 84th, sophomore Priscillia Hunt (167) is tied for 91st and junior Heather Wrede (169) is tied for 95th.
