LUBBOCK, Texas - - Texas Tech men's tennis coach Tim Siegel announced the selection of Randy Rowley as the new assistant coach for the Red Raiders men's team. Rowley comes to Tech after a four-year stint as the head coach at the University of Louisiana-Monroe.
"Having Randy here will be a great addition for the team," Siegel said. "His experience being what it is, it will be like having a second head coach on the court."
Rowley compiled a 52-36 overall record at ULM, including a 14-2 record in conference play and two Southland Conference titles. His teams earned a place in the ITA national rankings for three years and advanced to the NCAA Tournament, which had not been accomplished at ULM in 25 years.
A 1984 graduate of Southwestern College, Rowley is currently serving his second term as a member of the 1999-2000 Region VI regional committee for the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championships.
