ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (AP) - Plenette Pierson had 27 points and 10 rebounds as No. 13 Texas Tech beat No. 17 Southwest Missouri State 81-77 on Saturday night to win the Paradise Jam Classic.
Jia Perkins added 20 points for the Lady Raiders (3-0), and Katrisa O'Neal had 15.
Jackie Stiles led Southwest Missouri State (2-1) with 38 points on 17-for-26 shooting. On Friday, she had 42 points in the Lady Bears' 85-75 victory over No. 9 Penn State.
Tara Mitchem added 14 points for the Lady Bears.
On Friday, Texas Tech beat No. 10 LSU 79-71.
Penn State beat LSU 86-52 in the third-place game.
