LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech and head women's golf coach Stacey Totman announced the signing of Kim Kolb of Sioux Falls, S.D., for the 2001-02 academic year.
"This is a very exciting signing for Texas Tech," Totman said. "Kim is a very talented player who has just begun to play her best golf. She is a great addition to this team and will also make an immediate impact for us next year.
"Kim is a great team player and has a great attitude. She has some big tournament experience that will help in the adjustment to college golf."
Kolb is the defending South Dakota State High School individual champion, and she led her team to last year's team title. Some of her major accomplishments include qualifying for the 2000 Junior PGA Championship, qualifying for the 1999 Big I Championship, and she also played in several American Junior Golf Association tournaments.
