Women's Golf Heads To Stanford/Pepsi Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas - - The Texas Tech women's golf team is headed to Palo Alto, Calif., to compete in the Stanford/Pepsi Invitational beginning Friday. Tech finished 11th of 18 last year.
A total of 17 teams will compete this weekend: Stanford, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, California, Oregon State, New Mexico, Arizona State, Washington, Oregon, New Mexico State, Washington State, UCLA, Pepperdine, San Jose State, Tulsa, USC and Vanderbilt. Thirteen of the 17 teams are ranked in the top 50 by GolfWeek.
Tech will take senior Jennifer Newhouse, junior Stephanie Dukes, sophomore Jackie Ey, freshman Kim Kolb and freshman Megan Hull.
Play will begin Friday at 8:00 a.m.
