LUBBOCK, Texas - The No. 2 ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers dropped Texas Tech in three games 30-12, 30-19 and 30-25 to pick up their 40th consecutive Big 12 win in front of a season-high 1,483 fans at the United Spirit Arena on Saturday night.
With the loss, Texas Tech falls to 12-7 overall and 5-5 in the Big 12 while Nebraska improves to 17-1 and 10-0 in the league.
Texas Tech was led on the night by Melissa McGehee who tallied a team-high eight kills while Jessy Herrera led the defensive effort with 14 digs. As a team Texas Tech managed a season-low .000 hitting percentage (31-31-144).
Texas Tech will travel to Manhattan, Kansas for a Wednesday night match-up with the Kansas State Wildcats. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
