Women's Golf In Eighth After Round One

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's golf team is in eighth place after shooting a 305 in round one at the Price's "Give em' Five" Intercollegiate in Las Cruces, N.M.
Leading Tech is Senior Jennifer Newhouse who shot a three-over par 75 to tie in 18th place. Junior Stephanie Dukes is tied for 27th after a round one 76. Sophomore
Jackie Ey is in a 35th place tie along with freshman teammate Kim Kolb, both shooting a 77. Tying in 42nd, freshman Megan Hull shot her lowest round of her collegiate career with a 78.
Joining the Raiders this year is a field of 14 teams that features some of the nation's top women's programs. Those teams include: New Mexico State, UCLA, Arkansas-Little Rock, UTEP, North Texas, New Orleans, Arizona State, Baylor, Middle Tennessee, San Diego State, San Jose State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Oklahoma.
