Women's Golf Improves To 6th Place After Round Two

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's golf team shot a round two 298 to advance to sixth place after placing eighth in round one at the Price's "Give em' Five" Intercollegiate in Las Cruces, N.M.
Tech had improved from a round one 305 and is within five strokes of fifth place.
Stephanie Dukes, in a sixth place tie, improved in round two shooting a 70 after a round one 76. Jennifer Newhouse, who shot a round one 75 and round two 76, is now in a 21st place tie along with teammate Jackie Ey who shot a 77 in round one and 74 in round two.
Kim Kolb (77, 79) and Megan Hull (78, 78), the freshmen component of the squad, are tied in 46th place.
Play will resume tomorrow with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
