Men's Tennis Swings Into Action

LUBBOCK, Texas- The Texas Tech men's tennis team begins their 2001 campaign against Abilene Christian on Fri., Feb. 2, at 12:30 p.m. at the Tennis Center in Lubbock located off of 66th and Indiana.

The Red Raiders have two returning players and nine newcomers. Co-captain senior Borut Martincevic returns for his final season playing in the top part of the line-up. Also returning is sophomore Clay Estes, who finished the 2000 season with a 9-3 record in the No. 5 position, placing second in the Big 12.

Tech leads the all-time series against ACU 15-1 with their lone loss coming in 1986. The Red Raiders are 6-0 against ACU in the Siegel era.
