Ellis Named to NABC Team

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech junior center Andy Ellis (Lamesa, Texas) has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches District 9 Second Team announced today by the NABC.
Ellis leads the Red Raiders in scoring this season with 14.8 points per game and is second on the team with 6.3 rebounds per game. His scoring total ranks 12th in the Big 12. This is the first postseason honor for Ellis this season.
Joining Ellis on the second team are Darren Kelly (Texas), Bernard King (Texas A&M), Devin Brown (Texas-San Antonio) and Ryan Carroll (TCU). Members of the first team include Jeryl Sasser (SMU), Joe Johnson (Arkansas), Michael Wilks (Rice), Terry Black (Baylor) and Chris Owens (Texas).
