Lubbock, Texas - Tech women's golf fired a 902 at 38 over par to place second in the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic in Norman, Okla. This is Tech's lowest round of the season.
Sophomore Stephanie Dukes made a showing at the tournament earning medalist honors with a tournament record 208 (68,68,72) at eight under par. This win is Duke's career best 54 as well as career lowest round.
Jennifer Newhouse tied for ninth shooting a 225 (78,76,71) at nine over par, giving her a career best 54. Priscilla Hunt shot a 234 (80,73,81) at 18 over par to tie for 26th. Tamara Munsch shot a 235 (81,75,79) at 19 over par to tie for 28th. Allison Louth shot her best career 54 at 248 (85,81,82) to tie for 66th place.
Tech beat Big 12 opponents Nebraska (3), Kansas State (t4), Texas A&M (t4) and Baylor (6.) Thirteenth-ranked and host Oklahoma University won the tournament shooting an 883 at 19 over par.
Tech women's golf will be back in action April 23-25 at the Big 12 Championships in Ames, IA.
