Women's Golf Finishes 19th at NCAA Regionals

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's golf team carded a 993 (319, 340, 334) at the NCAA Central Regionals in West Lafayette, Ind., for a 19th place finish. The University of Tulsa won the tournament with a score of 904, two strokes ahead of tournament host Purdue. Kari Damron of Purdue University took individual honors with a score of 216.
Jennifer Newhouse shot 240 (77, 83, 80) to tie for 51st place. Stephanie Dukes finished tied for 53rd place after shooting a 76,86,79. Senior Priscilla Hunt closed her season with a tie for 86th place, shooting 250. She shot a round-one 82, round-two 80 and round-three 88. Allison Louth finished in 102nd after shooting 262 (84, 91, 87). Jackie Ey shot 91,91,89 for a combined 271 to place 106th.
Tech will swing back into action next fall, with five of six players returning.
