Big 12 Announces Men's Basketball Schedule

LUBBOCK, Texas - Three home games slated for national television broadcasts highlight the home portion of the 2001-02 Big 12 Conference men's basketball schedule released today by the league office.
The Red Raiders will face Texas on ESPN's Big Monday on Jan. 14 and follow with Oklahoma State on CBS on Sat., Jan. 19. Texas Tech's game against Oklahoma on Sat., Jan. 26, will be aired on ABC. All three games will be played at the United Spirit Arena and represent a three-game homestand for the Red Raiders.
Tech opens the Big 12 season with Kansas State at home on Sat., Jan. 6. Other home matchups include Iowa State (Feb. 2), Baylor (Feb. 13), Missouri (Feb. 20) and Texas A&M (Feb. 23).
The Red Raiders begin Big 12 play on the road at Texas A&M on Wed., Jan. 9, then face Oklahoma (Jan. 12), Nebraska (Jan. 30), Oklahoma State (Feb. 6), Kansas (Feb. 9), Colorado (Feb. 16), Texas (Feb. 26) and Baylor (March 2).
The Red Raiders will compete on ESPN Regional for eight games in addition to the three network games. Eleven of Tech's 16 conference games will be televised.
