Kelly Hanging On Above Projected Cut

LUBBOCK, Texas - Midway through the second round of the 101st U.S. Amateur, Texas Tech golfer Brooks Kelly (Sierra Vista, Ariz.) is currently two-over after 27 holes. The projected cut for the event, held at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga., is plus-two.
David Bolen (Austin, Texas) finished the two-round stroke play with a 75 in the second round, after posting a 72 in the opening round on Monday. He finished the event at five-over. After shooting a 69 in the first round, Kelly posted a birdie, six pars and two double bogeys on the front nine today in the second round.
The top 64 players from Monday and today's stroke play will advance to round one of match play Wednesday.
