Saddle Tramps To Begin Fall Rush

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Saddle Tramps, one of the oldest spirit groups on campus, will begin Fall Rush Aug. 28-29.
Formed by Arch Lamb in 1936, the Saddle Tramps is an all-male booster organization that support men's athletics at Texas Tech. The Tramps are responsible for and participate in such events as Midnight Raiders, Bonfire, the pre-game Bell Circle, Carol of Lights and ring the Victory Bells after every Tech win. The Tramps play a large role both in university and community life.
Fall Rush for the Saddle Tramps will begin on Aug. 28th (7-9 p.m.)at Cricket's Bar and Grill and will be held at the University Center on Aug. 29 (6-8 p.m.) The dress is casual attire. Please contact Chris Stacey at 806-791-3930 for more information.
The Raider Recruiters are also accepting applications for the 2001-2002 school year. The Raider Recruiters is an all-female organization that helps aid men's coaches in the recruiting of student-athletes (Football, Men's Basketball and Baseball). Interested persons may pick up an application at the football office Aug. 27 - Sept. 7 and need to be returned by noon on Sept. 10th.
