Texas Tech Women's Golf Heads To Big 12 Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's golf team will showcase their talent among the other Big 12 schools at the Big 12 Invitational in Stillwater, O.K., Oct. 1-2.

Stephanie Dukes, currently ranked 22nd by Golfweek magazine, is coming off a win at the McGuire Invitational after shooting a six-under par 213. After having her best finish of her career at the McGuire, Jennifer Newhouse will also be competing for Tech. Sophomore Jackie Ey and freshmen Megan Hull, Kim Kolb and Sheila Mendez will round out the Tech roster.

The 16-team field, of which ten are ranked teams, is comprised of all Big 12 schools, Ohio State, Northwestern, TCU and Tulsa.

Play will begin Monday morning on the par-72, 6,100 yard Karsten Creek Golf Course.
