Women's Tennis Drops Decision to No. 23 TCU

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team fell to No. 26 TCU today, 5-2 at Lubbock Country Club. The Red Raiders move to 1-1 on the season and still have a tough tournament ahead.
In doubles play, Tech dropped all three of its matches to TCU. The No. 1 doubles tandem of Irina Tereschenko (Moscow, Russia) and Beverly Dawson (Odessa, Texas) was defeated by TCU's Paty Aburto and Saber Perez, 8-5.
Tech received its two wins today in singles play. Tereschenko defeated TCU's Aburto, 7-5, 6-1. Dawson added the second win by defeating Leoni Weirich of TCU, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.
The Texas Tech Team Tournament continues tomorrow with Tech taking on No. 26 Florida International at 10 a.m. at Nautilus.
