#5 Texas Tech 73, #4 Oklahoma State 51

- Texas Tech won two of the three meetings with Oklahoma State this season, and handed the Cowboys their two worst defeats of the season. In addition to today's 22-point victory, the Red Raiders defeated OSU 94-70 Jan. 19. That 24-point loss was the Cowboys' worst of the season. OSU has trailed all but one opponent this season at some point in the game, including nine games where the Cowboys were in double-digit deficits.

- Texas Tech held Oklahoma State to 17 first-half points, which is the second-lowest point total scored by a Red Raider opponent this season. TTU allowed only 14 points in a half twice - vs. Texas A&M (Feb. 23, 2002) and Iowa State (Feb. 2, 2002).
- Texas Tech is shooting 52.2 percent (58-of-101), which is on pace for a Big 12 Tournament record. Kansas has the current mark of 49.7 percent.
- Oklahoma State's seven first-half field goals tied its season low for field goals made in a half. OSU was 7-of-21 from the field in the first half of its 58-53 loss at Oklahoma Jan. 30, 2002. OSU shot 25.0 percent (7-of-28) from the field in the first half, which was its season low for field goal percentage in a half.
- Texas Tech's Andre Emmett tallied his fifth double-double of the season with 23 points and 14 rebounds. He averaged 28.0 points and 37 minutes in three games vs. Texas Tech this season. With his 23.5 ppg average after two tournament games, Emmett ranks third in Big 12 tournament scoring.
