
Tech Volleyball Closes Season with 3-0 Loss To Kansas

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech volleyball squad closed out its season tonight with a 3-0 loss (26-30, 23-30, 21-30) to the Kansas Jayhawks at the Horejsi Family Athletics Center in Lawrence, Kan. The team had three players hit over .300 but overall were held to a .073 hitting percentage.
Wearing the red and black for the last time, senior Angela Mooney went out with a team second best .316 with seven kills, one ace and one assisted block. Junior Kelly Johnson had a team high eight kills, a season low, with six digs. Junior Laura Grote contributed two service aces, 28 assists and along with junior Jessy Herrera a team-high10 digs.
Tech finished its season with an 11-18 overall and 3-17 conference record.
