In her first double of the tournament, outfielder Amanda Douglas would put Tech on the diamond but Arlene Newton would ground out to halt the Raiders scoring.
The third inning saw the best that Tech has played this season. Play would continue with the next four batters getting hits including a double by Elyssa Sigala (2-4, 2 RBI), her third of the tournament and second of the game. Tech's sixth run was scored in the sixth when Rhyne hit a single that would cross Gipson over the plate. Defensively Robles made a key play diving for a ball hit behind second base for Tech's first out of the inning. Andrea Joachims, who logged four unassisted outs in the game, caught a foul ball for the second out. A line drive to Stines would conclude the Rebels half of the inning.
