The Texas Tech Red Raiders have the non-conference portion of their 2003 - 2004 men's basketball schedule in place.
Overall, the complete schedule will feature two exhibition games, sixteen conference contests, and a possible fourteen non-conference games.
EA SPORTS will send teams to visit the United Spirit Arena for two exhibition games on November 5 and November 13.
The Raiders open non-conference play on November 18 as they host the Wildcats of Davidson College in a first round contest in the Pre-Season NIT. A win in the first round creates the potential opportunity for the Raiders to host either UMass or St. Francis in the second round. The Pre-Season Semi-finals and Finals will take place in Madison Square Garden on November 26 and 28.
East Tennessee State comes to Lubbock on November 23 for the first time since the 1995 - 1996 campaign. UTEP, TCU, and San Diego State make return visits to the United Spirit Arena for three additional non-conference match-ups with the Raiders. Sam Houston State also makes a trip to Lubbock on December 17 as does Minnesota on January 1.
The "away" portion of the non-conference schedule features three road games on opposing home courts and one neutral site game. The Raiders will be hosted by SMU, New Mexico, and Ohio State during the non-conference season. Texas Tech and Iowa tip-off in the American Airlines Center in Dallas for an exciting match-up on December 22.
The Big 12 Conference schedule will released later this summer.
