Lady Raider Golfer Wins Tournament On Collegiate Players Tour

LUBBOCK, Texas - Junior golfer Kim Kolb won a sudden death playoff over Casey Cain at the Willow Brook Country Club in Tyler, Texas, July 23. The Collegiate Players Tour sponsored the tournament, where Kolb shot a 78, 76, 77 for a 231 finish.
Kolb is coming off a second place finish at the Fossil Creek Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, June 3, where she qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championships. Kolb finished the 2002-03 season with a 78.3 stroke average and turned in her highest career finish and first top 10 finish with a second-place showing at the Berning Classic in Norman, Okla. Kolb improved her game by a stroke from her freshman to sophomore seasons.
